Our Vision

An East Africa where all children receive a quality education regardless of race, colour, creed or ability.

Goal: All Children
100%

Our Values

Respect

RELI strives to foster an environment of positive engagement that honours each member’s contribution to the network.

Trust

RELI values good faith efforts and deals both honestly and openly with all stakeholders. We are accountable to ourselves and to others. As a result, members have strong relationships with each other and with the communities in which they work.

Empowerment

RELI members leverage each other’s strengths when collaborating for impact and share responsibility for both positive and negative outcomes of RELI activities. This empowers members to confidently experiment and take risks.

Learning

Our aim is to learn from each other, from students and from the broader learning community. We actively seek out feedback and use it to improve our practice. We are willing to iterate and experiment.

Collaboration

RELI members build and maintain effective working relationships for cooperation and collaboration where information, data, and experiences are shared freely among members.

Equity

RELI is generating, curating and disseminating an evidence base of best practice in equitable and inclusive education for all.

What we are doing

RELI achieves its goal by three areas of collective work:

We work together to transform our organisations into high functioning vehicles of regional change. We do this through becoming self-learning organisations that learn and transform from our experiences. We are guided by Monitoring Evaluation and Learning experts and the Well Made Strategy communications team.

We believe in sharing our learning with our peers and the world to make sure that successes are repeated, rather than mistakes. We achieve this through focused learning events, webinars, videos and blogs. Our collective learning is shared with the wider educational community through a rich online learning environment.

We pursue collective policy engagement, seeking to influence policy in East Africa. We achieve this by generating evidence based policy implications from our work, and collaborating with policy makers and influencers to achieve a brighter future for our region’s children.
