Who We Are
Divine Bamboo Group Limited is a sustainable, socially responsible forestry and biomass energy social enterprise that promotes propagation and establishment of fast growing local Bamboo explicitly for sale and production of clean charcoal briquettes respectively. The enterprise was established and incorporated in 2016 and within 2 years of operation, it has expanded to being the largest producer of bamboo seedlings in Uganda with a capacity of 100, 000 seedlings annually.
The company has two well established bamboo nurseries in Najjera and Degeya in the districts of Wakiso and Luwero respectively. Establishment of a bamboo briquette production line is under research and development stage with briquettes tested, pilot study done, pending scaling.
Through our activities we supply sturdy local bamboo seedlings of different species, improve accessibility to clean and affordable sustainable energy, promote social inclusion and mitigate climate change. To date, we have accumulated vast experience which is constantly used to improve production techniques. Ongoing review and testing of every aspect of the supply process ensures the company continues evolving alongside its customers’ needs.

An Africa with zero deforestation and increased access to renewable energy through the use of bamboo as an alternative to tree biomass in natural forests.
Mission
To stop deforestation in Uganda through the promotion of fast-growing local bamboo species to produce clean cooking fuel in the form of briquettes and charcoal.
Objectives
To supply high-quality bamboo seedlings in the East African region.
To produce and promote the use of bamboo charcoal and briquettes as a sustainable fuel alternative to conventional charcoal and fire wood.
To establish sustainably managed bamboo plantations in order to restore, protect endangered indigenous ecosystems and mitigate climate change.
To provide technical support and advisory on bamboo propagation, plantation establishment and management.
