THE LIFENET WAY
THE LIFENET WAY
Drawing on years of experience in the business sector, we provide logistics, financing, equipment and training services to existing, faith-based health centers in East Africa that embrace the LifeNet way. Our partners finance their own operations, as well as medicine and equipment purchases, ensuring local responsibility and sustainability. We provide comprehensive solutions to their management, medical and supply problems. This enables us to leverage existing personnel and infrastructure for quick scale, high return on investment and great impact for the health of millions of patients.
OUR VISION & MISSION
LifeNet International transforms African health facilities to provide quality, sustainable healthcare and save lives.
Guided by the belief that every individual deserves an equal opportunity to lead a healthy and whole life, LifeNet improves the quality of health systems from the ground up. We are dedicated to strengthening health systems by leveraging existing resources to maximize return on investment and promote local sustainability. Through the framework of a partnership with faith-based health centers, we innovate and implement pragmatic responses to everyday health challenges facing the poor.
Our vision is to see every person in sub-Saharan Africa have the opportunity to lead a healthy and whole life. By 2023, we plan to work in 1,000 health centers across 10 African countries, transforming care for more than 10,000,000 patient visits.
Valuing honoring God and others in all we do is foundational to every aspect of our work. From our work in the field with health facilities to our team meetings and assessments, we are committed to honoring God, one another, patients, and our partners. This commitment to caring for one another extends throughout the organization as we make decisions, develop strategies, and pursue the LifeNet mission to transform healthcare in Africa.
Valuing sustainable impact at scale motivates every member of the LifeNet staff to tackle high-impact needs and large-scope problems. As LifeNet continues to scale in sub-Saharan Africa, our leaders closely monitor key impact indicators and evaluate all programs and decisions with sustainable impact at scale in mind.
Valuing high-quality, compassionate healthcare provides a framework for all LifeNet trainings in health facilities in the LifeNet network. Our belief that all people bear the image of God motivates our desire to pursue quality, compassionate care and elevate the poor and the vulnerable in our world. We work to see our health center partners embrace this value in their own practices and hearts, elevating the dignity and quality of care for every patient entering their facilities.
Valuing evidence-based programming informs all LifeNet operations. No programmatic design or decision is considered “too small” to evaluate with an evidence-based mindset. Keeping best practices in mind, a significant amount of data are analyzed and taken into account when evaluating all strategies, tactics, and decisions. LifeNet’s robust monitoring and evaluation team are central to our work and provide ongoing data-based insight into the effectiveness of LifeNet interventions in health facilities in the LifeNet network. We aim to see health center partners embody this evidence-based mindset in their own decision making and care practices.
Valuing local church ownership & decision making inspires our partnerships with local, church-based health center staffs and motivates us to deliver evidence-based interventions to people who need them in sub-Saharan Africa. LifeNet is dedicated to recognizing, encouraging, and strengthening the skills and capacity of local men and women in sub-Saharan Africa. LifeNet staff work side-by-side with these men and women and it is our privilege to take part in increasing their capacity to flourish in their callings and ownership of the health services they provide to their communities.
