Why We Exist
Many women and girls in Uganda live in communities where their economic rights, contributions and priorities have been largely overlooked. Gender inequalities feed patterns of underdevelopment and studies reveal that the most vulnerable women and girls belong to rural communities with a high proportion of the population living in poverty. Women and girls face unequal access to the resources needed to improve their economic and social status.
