Background
The Hospital operates as a charity, Not- for-Profit Health institution as of the ministry of Christ’s Church. In its operations, the Hospital is committed to and implements the policies of the Ministry of Health of Uganda, policies of the Government of Uganda affecting Non-Governmental Organizations and other international health policies which are not contradictory to the Christian Code of Ethics.

The Hospital works within the frame-work of the Diocesan Health Policy in close collaboration with the Health Co-ordination Office of the COU/Diocese of Kigezi and the Uganda Protestant Medical Bureau (UPMB).

The hospitals main purpose is to offer quality health care to the poor communities at an affordable cost, through curative and preventive medicine. The Hospital has been able to do this through the support of several development partners, the Diocese of Kigezi as the mother organisation being the pioneer of them all, it has allocated enough land for the hospital expansion, provided support in the construction of the first structure and continues to support the Hospital on a daily basis; Lions Clubs International Foundation ,Truro Church in the USA and Church Mission Society have made a significant contribution to the Hospital infrastructural development, St. Luke’s Church, Blackadder Church and other churches and individual friends in the UK, USA, Germany and Australia have continually supported the Hospital in provision and purchase of hospital equipment.
