JOB DETAILS:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education
• Ratings forming part of (deck or Engine) watch
• Training in STCW mandatory courses including;

STCW Personal Survival Techniques
STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities
STCW Elementary First Aid
STCW fire prevention and fire fighting
Proficiency in security awareness

Experience:
• Operated Roll on – Roll off vessels in last (05) years
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
• Physically fit and able to work for long hours in all weather conditions
• Experience with maneuvering outboard engines would be an added advantage

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Officer in charge of Navigation watch on Delta I
• Overall management and maintenance of the ship to seaworthiness standards.
• Navigate the vessel using a range of satellite, radar system and other relevant equipment.
• Take full command of the vessel at all times, ensuring safe anchoring, landing and take off
• Ensure crew and officer and all officer on board carryout all procedures including induction, familiarization, orientation and drills as required.
• Ensure vessel is standby for any emergency related to SAR
• In charge of preparing the vessel for surveys and docking and SAR drills
• To manage ship communications and maintain vessel operational records
• Prepare and submit timely reports of any incident on the vessels.
• Perform any other duty assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
