SAA/SG200 is a non-profit non-governmental international organization that promotes demonstration and widespread adoption of improved pre and post-production agricultural technologies for smallholder farmers in Uganda in collaboration with relevant government institutions. farmers organizations and the private sector. Sasakawa Global 2000-Uganda wishes to recruit highly competent, organized. pro-active, self-driven and experienced professionals to fill the following positions for Agricultural value chain projects.

ACCOUNTANT (2 Positions)
The Accountant will be supervised by the Finance Officer and Program Coordinator by performing general accounting duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

• General accounting tasks, including reconciling and maintaining balance sheet accounts and general ledger operations, preparing journal entries, preparing monthly closing and financial reports, preparing account/bank reconciliations
• Ensure account receivables and payables activities are performed accurately and timely
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly and Quarterly closure of accounts, including bank reconciliation, and submit reports to the Finance Officer as per prescribed deadlines
• Ensure financial data on the accounting software, Navision Dynamic 2017 is updated

Academic Qualification and Work Experience

• A University degree in Commerce, Business Administration or any related discipline.
• Extra professional training (ACCA. CPA or similar certification will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a reputable NGO is a pre-requisite.
