- Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and Development: Develop and implement community development plans, strategies, and programs addressing local needs.
- Community Engagement: Facilitate community participation in decision-making, building relationships, and fostering empowerment.
- Needs Assessment: Conduct regular assessments to identify community needs, challenges, and opportunities.
- Project Management: Manage planning, implementation, and evaluation of community projects for success and sustainability.
- Capacity Building: Provide training and resources to enhance community members’ ability to address local issues.
- Resource Mobilization: Secure funding, resources, and partnerships for community initiatives.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor project progress, evaluate outcomes, and make adjustments for effectiveness.
- Collaboration: Build relationships with local organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders.
- Advocacy: Represent community interests and advocate for supportive policies and resources.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on community development activities and outcomes.
- Educational Background and Skills:
- Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Social Work and Social Administration, Arts, or Business Administration.
- Certificate in Administrative Officers Law Course or Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration and Management.
- At least 3 years of experience in a public or reputable private organization.
- Basic understanding of Constitutional provisions relating to the Public Service.
- Effective coordination of meetings, organizing logistics, and strong networking and interpersonal skills.
