Job Summary:
The Sales Person shall play a key role in increasing income and revenue by
managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects and
managing sales of products. They also research sales competition.

Duties And Responsibilities:
Register all sales in the DMS at all times.
• “Get the sale” using various customer sales methods (door-to-door, cold calling,
• presentations etc). Seek and obtain approval from the Managing Director, before making
any credit sales.
• Forecast sales, develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluate and
report on their effectiveness.
• Keep track of all his/her customers hence create a customer performance database
and build productive long-lasting relationships.
• Research about clients and generate or follow through sales leads in order to meet
personal and team sales targets.
• Attend meetings, sales events and trainings educational workshops; review
• publications, and be involved in professional societies to keep abreast of the latest
developments.
• Maintain and expand client database within assigned territory.
• Provide historical records by keeping records on customer inquiries and sales and
gather current marketplace information on newly introduced products, delivery
schedules, pricing,
• Investigate problems; prepare reports; develop solutions, and make
• recommendations to management in order to resolve customer complaints.
• Prepare and submit daily and monthly sale summaries to the immediate
supervisor.
• Keep the vehicle and associated equipment clean and in good working order and
inspect vehicle for mechanical items and safety issues. May perform preventative
maintenance.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions; retain fuel/toll receipts and handle other
• paperwork such as delivery confirmation notices.
• Comply with traffic rules and regulations (size, weight, routes, parking and break
• periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Maneuver vehicles into loading or unloading positions.
• Report defects, accidents or violations and any other incidents they encountered
• on the road.
• Participate in Loading and unloading products and/or crates.
• Make deliveries as per journey plans or as per products on the truck.
• Ensure that the vehicle has a valid road license, motor third party, comprehensive
• insurance and car-track (GPS-tracker).
• &• Immediately report accidents if they occur.

Procedure for reporting accidents is as
• follows: -
Report to the nearest police station as soon as possible
• Report to the insurance company
• Get medical attention for any person injured in the accident
• Report the accident to the Admin office as soon as possible by giving a written
• account of the cause of the accidents.
