Muteesa I Royal University (MRC) is a private University that was accredited by the National Council for Higher Education (UNCHE) in 2007. its Main Campus is situated in Kirumba Masaka, with other campuses in Mubende and Mengo Kakeeka. The mission of the MRU is to provide an effective and efficient setting for the development of intellectually dynamic individuals, principled and resource l professionals and practitioners. MRU is seeking to recruit highly motivated, innovative and committed candidates to fill the positions highlighted below:

Dean Faculty of Business and Management

Reports to: Deputy \/rce Chancellor-Academic Affairs Role definition: To plan and develop guidelines for monitoring performance of both academic and non-academic staff in the department; providing required materials and facilitation to enable staff deliver services according to family programs and University policies

Key Result Areas/Responsibilities:

• Develop and conduct annual review of the faculty strategic plan
  
• Develop, and maintain the quality of the academic programs and curricular of the Faculty within the guidelines of NCHE
  
• Develop and implement a mechanism for monitoring performance of academic and support staff according to the performance management policies and procedures
  
• Prepare and monitor the implementation of faculty budget and prepare a budget performance report for each financial year.
• Allocate office space, furniture and equipment to HODs, academic staff and materials for teaching according to the faculty needs
• Convene meetings to discuss examination arrangements and nominate external examiners for each academic program and forward names to the registrar for conformation.
• Hold meetings with faculty academic staff to discuss results and forward results and minutes to the Registrar's office identify reference books and e-learning materials for teaching and for research and recommend purchase by the University Library
• Coordinate the development of Undergraduate and Post graduate programs and submit them lo quality assurance for verification before they presented for accreditation by NCHE
• Constitute a faculty research committee to develop a research agenda for a period of 3 years and conduct periodic workshops
• Conduct annual stakeholder workshops to assess the impact of programs offered by the faculty and generated ideas of adding to the programs in line with the faculty strategic plan

Qualifications and experience:

• Master's Degree plus a PhD in a discipline related to the Faculty programs (tor the position you are applying tor)
• Five years teaching experience in University or an equivalent higher institution
• Should be at a level of senior lecturer Ability to be an advocate for MRU and its teaching and research mission
• Demonstrated strategic planning experience
