Job Summary:
The AC Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all air conditioning systems in the hotel to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for guests and staff. The role requires strict adherence to high-quality standards consistent with luxury hotel operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair all air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems throughout the hotel.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimum performance and longevity.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in AC systems and provide timely solutions.
- Monitor and regulate temperature and humidity levels in guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, server rooms, and other designated zones.
- Maintain records of repairs and replacements, and prepare maintenance reports as needed.
- Respond promptly to guest and management complaints related to cooling or heating issues.
- Coordinate with the engineering team to ensure timely and safe maintenance activities.
- Ensure all work complies with local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor stock levels for AC-related spare parts and tools; make requisitions as necessary.
- Support energy conservation programs by maintaining efficient AC systems.
- Participate in training and development sessions for skill enhancement.
- Be on-call for emergency breakdowns or critical service interruptions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma or Certificate in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, HVAC Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as an AC Technician, preferably in a hotel or large commercial property.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including VRF/VRV, chillers, split units, and central air systems.
- Good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically fit and able to work in high or confined spaces.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
