Accountant
Job Summary:
The University Accountant is tasked to initiate payments and post entries; prepare accounts; keep account books and systems up to date; monitor spending and budgets; compile and prepare financial and budget reports; conduct balance sheet and bank accounts’ reconciliation; analyse financial performance; manage financial information; advise and help clients and staff on financial matters.
Qualifications & Profile:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant degree; additional certification - professional qualification; at least five years’ work experience as an Accountant; excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures; proficient in General Ledger functions, advanced MS Excel skills, proficiency in SAP accounting software; attention to detail and good analytical skills; ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks; a mature and practicing Christian who upholds the University’s Core values and Instruments of Identity.
