Job details:
Location: Kampala, Uganda mobilized to Albert Lake, operating sites or other cities if required.

Primary function: Responsible for the accounts payable management of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Process and record invoices for payment timely and accurately.
  
• Verify invoices against contract terms and other agreements.
  
• Sort and match invoices and check requests.
  
• Set up invoices for payment and reconcile payments.
  
• Prepare and process accounts payable checks, wire transfers and ACH payments
  
• Process and record monthly AP accruals.
  
• Reconciliation of payable accounts with supplier statements.
  
• Producing aging summary reports.
  
• Resolve invoice discrepancies.
  
• Maintain the vendor/supplier file, while corresponding to their inquiries.
  
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
  
• Assist with month end closing.
  
• Process cash advance and reimbursements for staff, Manage and reconcile accounts of cash, bank, AP and AR.
  
• Work with banks, related departments for the cast management issues.
  
• Other duties assigned by superior.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree or above in finance, accounting or related fields.
  
• Minimum 3 years related working experience.
  
• Experience in building and managing relationship with key government officials is a plus.

Knowledge:

• Extensive knowledge of financing, accounting and banking,
  
• Extensive knowledge of IFRS and other GAAP.
  
• Extensive knowledge of accounting software package or related.
  
• Understanding of oil E&P.
