Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Regional Sales Manager to lead our regional sales efforts. This role is crucial in planning, directing, and coordinating the distribution of our products and services to customers across Kampala, Wakiso, and Mukono. You will be part of a large team, working closely with multiple supervisors, and reporting directly to the Country Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will possess a strong focus on customer satisfaction and a drive for achieving sales targets, while thriving in a hybrid work environment.

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Contract
  • Location: Kampala, Wakiso, and Mukono
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid
  • Reporting Structure: Reports to Country Sales Manager
  • Number of Vacancies: 10

Key Responsibilities

1. Direct and coordinate activities involving sales of manufactured products and services.

2. Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.

3. Oversee regional and local sales managers and their teams.

4. Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.

5. Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and service programs.

6. Direct, coordinate, and review sales and service accounting and record-keeping, as well as receiving and shipping.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Post-secondary Diploma in relevant fields.
  • Experience: 2-3 years in sales management.
  • Skills: Active Listening, Coordination, Speaking, Critical Thinking, Monitoring.
  • Knowledge Areas: Sales and Marketing, Customer Service, Education and Training, Communications.
  • Technology Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and sales and marketing software.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in Luganda and Swahili.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in reviewing operational records and reports to project sales.
  • Understanding of pricing schedules and discount rates.
  • Ability to stimulate interest in leasing programs through dealer visits.
