JOB DETAILS:
Association of Uganda Tour Operators Ltd
Chief Executive Officer (3 year fixed – term contract) Salary package-negotiable
This position reports to the Chairperson and Members of the Board of the Association of Uganda Tour Operators (AUTO). The successful candidate will be required to advise and support AUTO in a manner which ensures that the Association can execute its mandate of providing leadership and coordination to the members, and obligations consistent with national and where applicable international best practice.

The successful candidate must be able to:
• Provide strategic leadership and direction;
• Possess a high level of administrative skills;
• Have an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities Act (2008), other relevant legislation as well as the economic regulatory environment; Be capable of ensuring and maintaining an effective interface with key stakeholders in the Tourism Industry. Be technologically competent and dynamic.
• Ensure the highest levels of service delivery.

Requirements:
• A Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Management and Public Administration/and or related specializations (an MBA will be a distinct advantage);
• At least 8 years working experience in an executive position; Ugandan Citizenship; Experience and knowledge of corporate governance (added advantage);
• A working knowledge of the Tourism environment.
