Job Summary:
Yopsa Financial Services Ltd is seeking a dynamic and visionary individual to join our team as a Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Co-Founder in charge of Resource Mobilization and Operations. The COO will play a critical role in developing and executing strategies to ensure the successful growth and sustainability of our organization. This role is ideal for a passionate leader with a strong background in resource mobilization, operations management, and a deep commitment to addressing healthcare and financial inclusion challenges among low-income communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Resource Mobilization:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy, including fundraising, grant applications, partnerships, and donor relations.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, investors, and philanthropic organizations.
• Lead efforts to secure funding, grants, and investments to support the company's mission and growth objectives.
• Collaborate with the executive team to create compelling proposals and pitches for fundraising initiatives.
Operations Management:
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of financial services to clients.
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems to streamline processes and maximize efficiency.
• Monitor and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence.
• Lead cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals and objectives.
Financial Sustainability:
• Work closely with the CEO and finance team to manage and allocate financial resources effectively.
• Develop and monitor budgets, financial forecasts, and cost control measures.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation to ensure long-term financial sustainability.
Strategic Planning:
• Contribute to the development and execution of the company's strategic plan.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the executive team.
• Participate in the formulation of business strategies to achieve growth targets.
Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure the company's operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Develop and maintain risk management strategies to safeguard the company's assets and reputation.
• Continuously monitor and mitigate operational risks.
• Team Leadership and Development:
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
• Identify training and development needs for staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience in resource mobilization, fundraising, and grant management, ideally within the healthcare or social impact sector.
• Strong background in operations management and strategy development.
• Excellent financial acumen and budget management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including team management and development.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in resource mobilization, fundraising, or investor relations.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for driving positive social change.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
Compensation:
This position offers a competitive compensation package, which includes a combination of equity and salary.
