Impact and Innovations Development Centre (IIDC), is a Impact and innovations Development Centre (IIDC) is a regional technical assistance organization that supports NGOs to develop programmes that are effective and sustainable in Uganda, located in Kampala for the past 4 years.
It seeks to improve the wellbeing of vulnerable groups in Africa through promoting co-learning evidenced and impactful socio-economic development interventions and innovations. Our work is organized around four programmatic strands namely: Learning and sharing; Knowledge management; Programme support;Organizational development and Donor grants management.
We are seeking for qualified and passionate professionals to fill the following vacant positions located in Kampala with frequent travel upcountry and within East Africa.
Title: Child Protection Specialist .

Job Summary: S/he will be the primary technical person responsible for managing child protection engagements within IIDC, offer technical advice and capacity strengthening on child protection to the partner organisations. It is a senior position with the purpose to support the growth of the child protection programmes as one of the thematic areas.


Essential:
• Bachelor's in Social Work and Social Administration, Social Sciences, development Studies or any related field from a recognized university with strong child rights ‘content
• Training on child protection programming or child safeguarding standards
• Ten (10) years working experience in managing of child protection programmes
• Practical experience in policy development and offering technical assistance
• Practical knowledge and experience in monitoring and Evaluation and leadership
Preferable: Ability to communicate in Swahili is an added advantage.
 

Personal attributes: Skills in: Excellent report writing, training and mentoring, communication, presentation and good interpersonal); mature; committed; very analytical; resilient and flexible; a learner for self and others.

Job Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree


Job Experience Requirements: Ten (10) years
