We are looking for a qualified candidate with Experience in Logistics to fill the position of
Commercial Manager at our Group company, Logistics Three Sixty Five Ltd.
Job Location: Kampala, Uganda
Objectives of this role
• Devise and implement strategies that boost the overall commercial growth of the company.
• Oversee the operational and financial management of the company.
• Develop and foster client relationships within the commercial manager job role, to create business growth opportunities.
• Identify expansion and growth opportunities and use commercial management skills to implement the same.
Responsibilities
• Negotiate with clients, customers and suppliers to maximize the return on investment of the company
• Coordinate with the other commercial/client Managers and give regular updates on the progress of various projects.
• Conduct periodic market research and identify prospective business opportunities.
• Maintain reports and records of the budgets, expenses and revenue that fall under the commercial manager job role.
• Support the other departments with queries about commercial processes as a commercial manager.
• Manage commercial risks and devise strategies to overcome them.
• Discover and implement growth strategies that boost financial success.
• Oversee the performance of the commercial team in the right direction.
• Monitor branding and marketing initiatives to improve the commercial success of the business.
Required skills and qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, administration, or a related field
• 8 – 10 years experience as a commercial manager, or as an assistant commercial manager
• Acquaintance with business development or marketing
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to think strategically
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Familiarity with project management
• Ability to work under pressure independently as a commercial manager
• Skillset to develop and foster relationships with clients, suppliers, and customers
• Strong commercial/business network in Uganda and the entire East Africa Region.
• The candidate with experience in transport & logistics shall have an added advantage.
