JOB DETAILS:
Purpose of the position
Artolution is currently implementing a contract with UNHCR in Kampala, facilitating arts-based programming in children’s centres, working directly with youth and children from a variety of refugee communities and host communities. We are seeking a social media specialist/ content creator for the duration of this contract, with a strong potential to extend the contract and expand the scope.

This position entails developing and implementing our social media strategy and documentation of projects in order to increase our online presence and improve our outreach.

Role and responsibilities
• Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy
• Accompany our team of artists when they lead projects. Document their work with children and creating art, capture stories through documented testimonials, conduct interviews, and then produce short videos and photography using this content.
• Produce short documentary films
• Manage and oversee social media content
• Measure the success of social media posts and produce reports
• Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
• Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network

Professional experience
• 3 years of experience as a Content Creator/ Comms Specialist or similar role
• Experience promoting children's programs, the arts and/or humanitarian work
• Social Media Strategist using social media for brand awareness and impressions
• Excellent knowledge of Instagram and other social media platforms
• Excellent multitasking skills
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Video editing skills.
• Degree in Marketing or relevant field is preferred but not required.
