JOB DETAILS:
As a Data Fellows, you will have the unique opportunity to propose and execute a poster project that demonstrates your data science expertise while contributing to meaningful solutions. You will be responsible for defining a clear problem statement, outlining a robust methodology, and preparing a compelling poster presentation.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
Problem Definition:
1. Identify a real-world challenge that can be addressed using data science methods.
2. Clearly articulate the problem statement and its significance.

Methodology:
1. Develop a comprehensive methodology for solving the problem, including data collection, preprocessing, analysis, and visualisation techniques.
2. Specify the tools and technologies you intend to use.

Data Source:
Identify and access relevant data sources, which may include public datasets, APIs, or proprietary data. Describe how you plan to collect and manage the data.

Analysis Techniques:
Choose appropriate data analysis and machine learning techniques for deriving insights and addressing the problem. Justify your choice of methods.

Poster Presentation:
Create a visually appealing and informative poster presentation that effectively communicates the problem, methodology, and results. Prepare a concise, engaging narrative for the poster that can be showcased either internally or externally at conferences like DataFestAfrica 2024, Deep Learning Indaba 2024, Data Science Africa, etc.

Skills and Experience required
1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in data science, computer science, statistics, or a related field.
2. Strong knowledge of data analysis, machine learning, and data visualization techniques.
3. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
5. Self-driven with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
