It also offers returnable capital and tailored business support to improve economic mobility. By 2030, Imagine Her aims to impact 12,000 young women and youth.
Position Overview
The Development Specialist will execute a strategic fundraising and development plan aligned with Imagine Her's growth objectives. This role involves managing and expanding partnerships and identifying new funding opportunities to secure resources for organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Development Strategy Execution
1. Support the refinement and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising strategy in line with growth goals.
Business Development
1. Manage, grow, and sustain current funder relationships.
2. Identify new funding opportunities, including multilateral and corporate donors.
3. Write high-quality grant proposals and fundraising materials tailored to funder priorities.
Compliance and Reporting
1. Maintain a fundraising system (Salesforce) for relationship management and partner reporting.
2. Collaborate with the Knowledge and Impact team to assess program effectiveness and report outcomes to funders.
3. Ensure due diligence processes are implemented for partnerships.
4. Work with teams to develop high-quality funder reports.
Other Duties
1. Collaborate with the Communications team to publish op-eds and materials showcasing the organization's impact.
2. Represent the organization at high-value events and forums.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Nonprofit Management, Business, or a related field.
2. Preferably 2–4 years of experience in related fields.
Skills and Competencies
1. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
2. Strong relationship-building and negotiation abilities.
3. Knowledge of social entrepreneurship, youth economic development, agribusiness, and climate change.
4. Familiarity with donor databases (e.g., Salesforce) and digital fundraising tools.
5. A self-starter with excellent organizational skills and a collaborative mindset.
