DIRECTOR PROGRAMS
Department: Executive
Based in Kampala - Uganda
Reports to the Executive Director.

We are looking for someone to provide strategic guidance to program design, execution and review in line with PACE and national health policies. Reporting to the Executive director, and sewing as a member of the SMT and EMT this position's primary responsibility is to ensure organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the organization's Programs, Regional Operations and Strategic Information and Learning functions. The position also contributes to the fundraising efforts and maintaining good relations with donors, government and other external stake holders. What we are looking for

Academic Qualifications:
Master's in Public Health or Medicine or Health management or International health or any other related degree;

Experience:

  • You must have at least seven (4) years of project management experience of public heal_th projects;
  • You must have at least five (4) years in a senior level management position;
  • You should have exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management, PACE Stake holders including Donors;
  • Demonstrated experience leading large donor supported programs in strategic planning, financial management and performance monitoring are essential;
  • You should have good technical knowledge of the health areas and national health context;
  • You should have the ability to mobilize funds (write fundraising proposals); t
  • You should have the ability to perform internal control functions to manage day to day operations of the project;
  • You should have superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers;
  • You should be an entrepreneurial team player who can multitask and ability to work under pressure;
  • You should have excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
  • Strong mentoring, coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise;
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance and administration initiatives.
