Summary
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the job holder will lead the
marketing function of the organization, enable the company to become a market leader in
the East African region, and represent the company on all issues surrounding trading
and marketing of grain and grain products.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for performing the following duties:
• Develop and implement a marketing business plan aligned to the overall company strategy including
• Participate in setting sales and marketing projections and follow up to ensure they are achieved.
• Participate in developing pricing strategies and setting u profitability targets er products that will lead to maximizing the company’s profits as well as increase its market share;
• Identify new business opportunities by researching and evaluating the prospects as well as options;
• Gather, investigate and summarize data and trends to provide accurate information through reports for effective decision-making;
• Cultivate and deepen customer relationships and partnerships that add value by implementing customer care management programs to ensure customer retention;
• Regularly analyze and track grain trading trends in the region and identify new opportunities for the company;
• Conduct periodic market intelligence and oversee research and make recommendations to improve market access;
• Participate in the annual budgeting process to meet marketing and sales financial
• Oversee all marketing campaigns for their company or department
• Ensure the company is communicating the right messaging to attract prospective customers and retain existing ones
• Represent the marketing team to cross-functional groups including product management, sales, or customer support
• Updating senior leadership on the progress of marketing activities and reporting on the results of campaigns

Qualifications, skills and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years hands on experience as marketing specialist.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Good networking, communication and negotiation skills
• Sound customer service and client relationship skills
• Creative and innovative individual with passion for growth
