BRAC Uganda Microfinance Ltd is the largest Microfinance operating in Uganda covering 80 districts through 149 network and org . financial services to the un served and underserved, now with over 212,000 borrowing clients, over 150Bn loan book with 98% recovery rate, operationally and financially self-sustaining. in order to serve our customers better with wider range of services and products, Board and Management has future plans of becoming a regulated financial institution in Uganda —Tier 2 and thus the need to fill the positions of Head of Banking Operations, Head of internal Audit, Treasury manager and Manager Credit Administration to meet the needs of the transforming entity.

Job Title: Head of Banking Operations
Reports to: CEO BRAC Uganda Microfinance Ltd

Purpose: Will Perform, strategic, administrative, financial management and business development and support roles by organizing and supervising banking services and operations related functions and activities.

CORE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, oversea, manage and direct the banking operations of BRAC Uganda Microfinance Limited, establish strategies, develop goals and objective, set priorities, monitorthe sen/ice quality, participate in budget development and administration, controls and makes routine reports to top management.
  
• Design, develop and regularly review the banks operations policies and procedures manuals and ensure there is a good balance between service delivery and risk management.
  
• Re-engineer business process to ensure improved operations, customer service quality, cost effective and tight controls through effective documentation in form of user guides and process maps.
  
• Establish & administer a wide variety of banking services, investments, enforce effective liquidity management, reconciliations, asset and liability management, ensure diversification of revenue stream and general institutional sustainability.
  
• Performs any other or related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in banking or other related field, Master's Degree in business related discipline is added advantage
  
• Over 08 years’ experience in banking operations in a regulated financial institution like commercial banks or their 2(credit institution) and at least 03 years as Head of operations or operations manager. Good understanding of Micro finance operations.
