Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining and repairing batching and asphalt plant equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and minimal downtime.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Take an active role in the plant’s safety programs and initiatives.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment for self and co-workers at all times.
- Carry out routine and preventative maintenance of batching and asphalt plant machinery and stationary equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform timely repairs to minimize plant downtime.
- Perform fabrication, installation, and erection of processing equipment.
- Repair and service both stationary and mobile plant equipment.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of equipment and work areas to identify and report potential hazards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report all breakdowns and interventions.
- Collaborate with electrical and automation teams during equipment installation or upgrades.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Diploma in Mechanics, Plant Maintenance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in industrial or factory settings, preferably within road construction or infrastructure projects
- Strong background in mechanical fitting, welding, fabrication, and basic hydraulics.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to plant operations.
- Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
