JOB DETAILS:
• Salary Scale: PU6.1 (Teaching, Science)
• Reports to: Dean, Faculty of Agriculture
• Job Summary:
The Lecturer (Plant Breeding) will teach, conduct research, and provide guidance in the field of plant breeding while promoting agricultural innovation and sustainability.
• Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Deliver lectures, practicals, and tutorials in plant breeding and related areas.
2. Supervise research projects for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
3. Conduct research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
4. Participate in departmental and faculty activities to enhance academic development.
• Qualifications and Requirements:
1. A Ph.D. in Plant Breeding or related field.
2. Evidence of research and publications in the area of plant breeding.
3. Teaching experience at the university level is an added advantage.
