JOB DETAILS:
Individual must pose knowledge in Logistics to include supply, shipping, inventory management, and warehouse operations. Must have prior administrative and field experience to execute all aspects of the daily logistics support for operations. This position will be based out of Kampala, Uganda. The duration of this position will be approximately 8 months with the possibility of future extensions. The duties and responsibilities herein are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

Responsibilities include:
• Execute given tasks by the Senior Logistics Manager from start to finish including weekly updates, inventory of received shipments, and freight forwarding cargo preparation.
• Assist Senior Logistics Manager with procurement, warehouse, transportation, and customer services.
• Assist with preparation of inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality execution.
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency as directed by Logistics Supervisor.
• Determine, communicate, and document deficiencies and ensure they are corrected in a timely manner.
• Communicate with Senior Logistics Manager in a clear and understandable manner about all status updates.
• Meet productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
• Maintain metrics as required to assess performance and implement improvements
• Performs other functions as maybe tasked by the Senior Logistics Manager.

Requirements – Desired Qualifications:
• Excellent knowledge in both the written and spoken English languages
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing logistics services. This includes operational logistics assessments and meeting quality standards for services.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate in austere environment for protracted periods.
