Key Purpose:
Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive growth, profitability, and market uptake of new products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the New Product Development (NPD) process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and identify new product opportunities.
- Create business plans, sales strategies, and marketing initiatives for new product growth.
- Develop custom activation plans leveraging category insights and local market preferences.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
- Collaborate with teams to design marketing plans, promotions, and campaigns.
- Negotiate sales agreements, pricing, and promotions for new products.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve product-related issues.
- Provide regular sales performance reports to management.
- Generate promotional strategies to boost sales and brand awareness.
Qualifications:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Preferred: Relevant postgraduate qualifications.
Experience:
- Minimum: 8 years in FMCG sales/marketing.
- Strong understanding of the macro business environment and Uganda’s beverage market.
- Expertise in business strategy development, brand marketing, innovation processes, market segmentation, and research.
- Proven experience in channel development.
Competencies:
- Decisiveness and risk judgment.
- Strong work ethic and service orientation.
- Planning, organizing, and interpersonal skills.
- Initiative, self-drive, and networking ability.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
