JOB DETAILS:
JOB PURPOSE:
AVSI is seeking to recruit suitably qualified personnel for the position of a Programme Manager will be responsible for the implementation and management of administration and logistics for the AVSI tranSiTion from Emergency to sustainable development Program – STEP and for the coordination with, liaison and management of relationships between AVSI and external stakeholders including OPM, District Local Government, UNHCR and other operating and implementing partners in the settlement. He/she will monitor the overall control and proper pursuit of project objectives in compliance with the entire procedures of AVSI and AICS.
Duties and responsibilities
• Development of institutional relations with local actors and all stakeholders involved in the project;
• Maintenance of active communication with the donor: elaboration of periodic reports;
• Development and monitoring of the work plan and budget forecasts;
• Supervision of the project coordinator's actions with respect to scheduling, adherence to the chronogram, beneficiary selection, interim and final reporting;
• Communication and coordination with other organizations operating on the ground, participating in key coordination mechanisms;
• Oversee adherence to the internal procedures of AVSI and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation;
• Review of interim and final project reports;
Minimum qualifications and working experience:
• Master's degree in Social or Management Sciences or related discipline attained not more than 20 years ago
• Master's degree in a similar discipline will be considered an advantage
• Work experience in the area of professional expertise: at least 3 years of experience gained in development and/or emergency project management
• Previous experience in livelihood and protection will be considered as an added value.
Competencies and special skills requirement:
• Strong interpersonal, communication and diplomatic skills, ability to work in a team;
• Good writing, reporting, presentation and communication skills in English
• Ability to work under pressure and stressful situations, and to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent command computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
