The Adventist Development and Relief Agency ADRA Uganda is a Humanitarian Non-Governmental Organization ot the Seventh-day Adventist church that demonstrates God’s love and compassion. The organization works with people in poverty and distress to create just and positive change through empowering partnerships and responsible action. Currently the organization implements relief and development projects in West Nile, Acholi, Karamoja and South-western Uganda. ADRA Uganda wishes to recruit highly qualified, experienced and energetic Ugandan nationals, to occupy the vacant positions in an upcoming project due to start on 1st April 2017 as indicated below:

Project: REFUGEE EMERGENCY AID FOR LIFE (REAL) PROJECT
(Duty Station —Any of the Refugee Settlements in West Nile Region)

Project Accountant
Education: A Bachelors ‘degree with Accounting being the major subject. A professional accounting certification will be an added advantage.

Experience and other requirements: At least 3 years‘ working experience in accounting with a reputable organization, most preferably an NGO. Computer literate with experience in using various accounting packages; high degree of integrity; well organized; able to work under pressure; good communication and report writing skills; ability to live and work in hardship areas such as refugee camps. Ability to speak at least one of the major languages spoken in West Nile region is an added advantage.
