BACKGROUND

Pursuant to its global mission, WWF Uganda Country Office (WWF UGO’) is seeking for an experienced and talented professional for the following position.
Project Accountant-1 position (Kampala)
To provide financial management support for projects implemented by the Uganda Country Office, including budget preparation, monitoring, financial analysis and periodic financial reporting inline with Country and WWF regulations as well as donor requirements.
Job Specifications
The job holder should have: (1) Bachelor's (honors) degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration or related field with at least level 2 professional accounting qualification i.e. CPA/ACCA. (2) At least 3 years work experience in finance/accounting in a reputable organization (NGO experience will be an added advantage), good accounting and book keeping skills, knowledge of budget preparation, and financial reporting experience working with major Bi-lateral Aid agencies. (3) Proficiency in and use of accounting software's/ERP. (4) Key personal competencies: must be a team player with excellent oral, written and analytical skills. Must be detail-orientated, self motivated and able to work with multi-cultural teams.
