JOB DETAILS:
Adam Smith International is issuing a call for experts in public financial management who are based in Uganda or have experience in Uganda. International consultants must be willing to travel or be based there short term (< 3 months). We have a number of opportunities in this space and are seeking to expand our consultant network.

In particular we are looking for consultants who have experience in
• PFM Reform
• Political Economy Analysis
• Financial Planning and Economic Development

Job requirements
Key skills we look for include
• Substantial experience (10+ years) in public financial management and government reform.
• Understanding of the political economy of economic development and donor funded programming.
• Experience in PFM reform in Uganda or other similar sized economies
• Excellent writing, and analytical skill in drafting reports
• Understanding and knowledge of basic computer applications such as MS Words, and Excel.
• Experience of working for the development sector, including across key donors (EU, FCDO, USAID)
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently towards tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral skills in English.
