JOB DETAILS:
Qualifications & Experience:
• A recent degree in Mass Communication from UCU with first class honors of second class upper, preferably Print major (Must have not graduated earlier than 2021).
• Must be conversant with modern editing software including InDesign and have the ability to design pages for the newspapaer.
• Must have good writing skills, a desire to look for stories and deliver them in a timely manner.
• Must have strong photography skills.
• Must be able to work under minimum supervision for long hours, weekends inclusive.
• A committed Christian who is honest and trustworthy.
Main duties and Relationships
• News gathering of UCU community events and its neighbourhood.
• Writing stories, news and editing.
• Photography of events covered.
• Any other official duties assigned by The Standard Supervisor.
