Purpose:
Responsible for developing maintenance schedules and manage day-to-day activities of technical department to ensure all time availability of calibrated machines and infrastructure to support manufacturing department for meeting production targets and quality standards and related tasks as per the agreed guidelines/provisions.

Duties and Responsibilities:.

1. Adherence to implement preventive maintenance program.
2. Maintain calibration of all instruments & measuring accessories throughout the processes required to monitor CCPs, identified PRPs, OPRPs and inventories.
3. Adherence to maintenance of Hygiene in the utility area & at work place by ensuring maintaining of hygiene principles all time in the factory to meet IMS manual guidelines.
4. Liaise with other departmental heads including MPE for an efficient running of the operation and training staff in order to increase understanding of the entire process
5. Liaise with stores for spares and procurement of fuel, husk & consumables.
6. To design maintenance programs & scheduled checks on machinery and part
7. To respond immediately to machinery breakdowns at all times, assess the problem and make decisions in consultation with GM M.
8. Maintain breakdown records. Analyze, generate and present daily, weekly, monthly or yearly performance reports or any other report as may be required by management.
9. Adherence to achievement of key performance indicators of self and staff are well maintained.
10. Preparing budgets and managing expenditures
11. Maintaining efficient working practices that plug all leakages, minimize wastage, and utilize staff effectively.
12. Ensure accountability of all materials received in the section.
13. Plan staff resources to cover anticipated workload for the section.
14. Appraisal of staff, monitoring performance, conduct and disciplining staff if appropriate.
15. Assure competency and continuity of managerial and specialized personnel are fully capable of achieving management and manufacturing objectives through training and motivation.
16. Provide positive employee relations to ensure the achievement of productivity objectives and maintenance of high morale.
17. Lead the activities of the staff in the support of production of quality products in accordance with work instructions and company policies to ensure quality and safe products.
18. Responsible for implementing and maintaining safety requirements by law and company policy.
19. Management and planning of quality circles as the best forum for reaching staff during implementation and communication of company policies.
20. To ensure all plant machinery & infrastructure are guarded to enhance safety & security.
21. To co-ordinate external service providers to ensure the required standards are met during repairs and new installations.
22. Adherence, that all staffs entering into processing area are fully aware of the company’s policy regarding health and safety, personnel hygiene, dress code and the protection of products from cross contamination.
23. Responsible for implementing and maintaining the company objectives on Environmental issues
24. Maintain acquaintance with the company’s policies:
25. Adherence to company Integrated Management systems:
- Products specifications
- Use of Permit to work
• ISO 9001,22000,14001 and 18001

Qualifications and Experience
1. Bachelors in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a reputable University.
2. Job holder must have over 3-5 plus years’ experience in the same field or related field.
3. Good understanding of SAP /ERP operations
