JOB DETAILS:
Uganda Cooperative Savings and credit Union {UCSCU} in partnership with Savings Bank Foundation for international Cooperation[SBFlC]| is looking for a Training and Development Manager for a future Academy to devise its training strategy. oversee its implementation and assess ils outcomes. He/she will identify training and developmental needs and drive suitable training initiatives that build loyalty to the Academy.
He/she will be mainly responsible for executing and finalizing the business plan of the Academy and starting the first trainings by hegnning of next year 2020..
Requirements
• 5 years‘ work emenenoe as a raining manager. especially with SAC-COS
• Track record in designing and enecuting successful training programs
• Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring. coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training. e-learning. workshops. simulations et:.
• Extensive Knowledge and/or understanding of the SACCO subsector in Uganda
Qualifications:
• Masters degree in economics, business Administration. social sciences. or Finance and banking
• Post-graduate training in Adult and community Education
• Specialised training in SACCOs or cooperative management
Skills:
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to plan. multitask and manage time effecively
• Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals
• Good computer and database skills
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving thinking
• Creative and innovative mindset

Responsibilities:
• Development and adapting of financial forecast for the Academy
• Development and implementation of sustainability strategy
• Design and implementation of training programmes
• Suggest and deploy a wide variety of training delivery options as approved by the Board considering the vast area to be served
• ldenlify and assess future and current trainng needs
• Networking with other stakeholders
• Branding and marlcellng ohhefllcademy
• Managing finances and lrahing budget of the Academy
• Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs
• Resource mobiizalion
• Revenue gerlelallnn slrategiee forhcademy
• Reviewing and updating pf manuals and modules
• Guiding trainers on methodogies and manuals
• Seeking accreditation of the Academy
• Conducting TOTs for trainers
• Drawing overall training and development plans
Job Education Requirements: Masters degree
