Background:
As a Casual Food Service Worker you will be hired on a temporary or intermittent basis to fulfill short-term or irregular work requirements. You will not have a fixed, ongoing commitment with us and you will not have the same level of job security or benefits as full-time or permanent employees. You will usually be employed to address fluctuating workloads, seasonal demands, or specific projects where the need for labour or workers is uncertain or irregular. There will be time when you will have irregular working hours, and your employment may not be guaranteed beyond each individual assignment or working day.

Position Overview:
We are seeking dependable and enthusiastic Casual Food Service Workers to join our dynamic team. As a Casual Food Service Worker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our customers and ensuring the smooth operation of our food service clients during peak hours, special events, or when additional support is needed.

Responsibilities:
• Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and following recipes and portioning guidelines.
• Customer Service: Greet customers with a friendly demeanor, take orders accurately, and provide information about menu items.
• Table Service: Serve food and beverages to customers' tables in a courteous and efficient manner, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Order Management: Process customer orders through the point-of-sale (POS) system, handle cash transactions, and provide accurate change.
• Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, dining areas, and workstations, including dishwashing and sanitizing duties.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and restock food and beverage supplies as needed, keeping track of inventory levels.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to ensure smooth service operations.
• Adherence to Regulations: Follow all local health department regulations and safety standards to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
• Flexibility: Be available to work during peak hours, weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
• Other Duties: Assist with event setup, buffet service, and any other tasks as directed by management.

Requirements:
• Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and food safety.
• Flexibility and willingness to work a varied schedule.
• Physical stamina to stand, lift, and carry items as necessary.
