JOB DETAILS:
Medical Teams International holds strict child and vulnerable adult safeguarding principles and a zero-tolerance policy for misconduct related to sexual harassment, exploitation and abuse in the workplace and other places where the organization’s activities are rendered. Parallel to technical competence, recruitment & selection, hiring decisions will give due emphasis to assessing candidates' eligibility thorough background checks, police clearance, and professional reference check processes.

JOB SUMMARY
This position works closely with field communications focal persons to capture, document and develop communications around project activities. This role also works closely with the HQ Brand and Communications team to cultivate content to be published in Medical Teams brand, marketing and fundraising channels, as well as ensure proper branding of visibility materials.
 Coordinate with HQ liaison from Brand and Communications team on gathering requested photo, story, social media, and video content to support Medical Teams brand and private donor fundraising.
 Visit field locations to gather images and stories to use in communication materials on request from HQ.
 Collect and edit content from the field.
 Ensure visibility and branding materials are compliant with Medical Teams brand requirements. Verify with HQ Brand and Communications for support and compliance.
 Create visibility materials (donor branding, signposts, brochures, newsletters, media releases, fact sheets, etc.) according to Medical Teams and donor branding guidelines.
 Manage content storage for country program.
 Coordinate institutional donor content collection needs with field communications focal points.
 Organize capture of social media content as requested by HQ Brand and Comms to showcase program activities at global brand level.
 Conduct and create program reports for institutional donors on program communications activities.
 Update the country SharePoint page.
 Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, LICENSES, & CERTIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, International Relations or a similar field is required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
KNOWLEDGE
 Knowledge of current theories and practices in communication research, planning and strategy, and the role of mass media
 Knowledge of how to present information to different audiences.
 Knowledge of social media platforms

SKILLS
 Excellent English communication skills; highly articulate verbally and in writing
 Proven writing and editing skills.
 Microsoft Office Suite
 Graphic design skills are an added advantage.
 Photography skills are preferred.
 Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

ABILITIES
 Ability to exercise considerable initiative to plan, organize and follow through to meet deadlines.
 Ability to be flexible and manage stress, especially in situations which require a high degree of sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy.
 Ability to act with integrity and maintain the highest ethical standards.
 Ability to support Medical Teams Calling and adhere to the Medical Teams Code of Conduct
