JOB DETAILS:

1. Head of Public Relations and Communications

Grade: P3
Division: Office of the Secretary General
Duty Station: Lusaka, Zambia
Basic Salary Scale: COM$ 61,581.08 – COM$ 68,658.91 per annum
Reports to: Secretary General
Number of Posts: 1

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement communication strategies to promote COMESA’s activities and policies.
• Oversee media relations, public engagement, and corporate branding.
• Manage content for COMESA’s website, social media, and publications.
• Coordinate internal and external communications, including press releases and reports.
• Advise the Secretary General on communication matters.
• Organize and manage press conferences, interviews, and stakeholder meetings.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
• At least seven (7) years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or media management.
• Strong leadership, strategic planning, and networking skills.
• Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.

Experience in Months: 84

Level of Education: bachelor degree
