Nile Poly Sack Ltd is a joint venture between the Madhvani Group Companies and the Kestiwala Group of Companies. We are located near the New Nile Bridge in Njeru Municipality and are engaged in the manufacturing of woven poly sacks.
We are seeking applications from qualified Ugandan candidates for the following vacancy:
JOB TITLE: SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER (1 POSITION)
REPORTS TO: GENERAL MANAGER
LOCATION: NJERU MUNICIPALITY, NEXT TO THE NEW NILE BRIDGE, JINJA
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the General Manager in the recruitment, placement, induction, confirmation, and appraisal processes.
- Assist in formulating and maintaining employee terms and conditions of service and ensure proper communication to staff.
- Foster harmonious industrial relations by handling employee grievances and promoting strong staff-management relations.
- Supervise staff welfare services including meals, sanitation facilities, first aid services and medical attention during any industrial accidents.
- Maintain updated employee personal files, including records of sick leave, annual leave, disciplinary actions, etc.
- Enforce discipline and uphold company rules and regulations.
- Maintain records of workplace accidents and report to the insurance company.
- Ensure timely preparation and processing of monthly staff salaries.
- Identify employee training needs and implement relevant training and development programs.
- Coordinate and conduct annual performance appraisals.
- Promote safe and healthy working environment across the organization.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management from a recognized university.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 8 to 12 years' experience in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing setting having 24x7 operations with workforce of 400-500 employees.
