Trust AIC Foundation (TAF) formally AIDS Information Centre-Uganda (AIC) is a catalytic notfor-profit Non-Governmental Organisation established on 14th February,1990 to provide Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT) services to the population of Uganda. TAF was the pioneer HIV Counselling and Testing Centre in Africa.
Over the last 33 years, TAF has since evolved into a thought-leader in HIV programming, Health Systems Strengthening and Knowledge Management. TAF currently has 10 Centres of Excellence spread across the country, which include: Arua (West Nile region), Lira (Mid North region), Soroti (North-Eastern region), Mbale (Mid-Eastern region), Jinja (Eastern region), Kampala (Central region), Mbarara (Western region), Kabale, Kanungu and Rukungiri (South-Western region). TAF boasts of a national footprint, providing comprehensive HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment services, TB/HIV, Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services to adolescents and young people, particularly Key, Priority and Vulnerable Populations (KP/VPs) in their diversity, such as Female Sex Workers, Persons with Disabilities, Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC), Refugees, the Elderly, and Persons with Mental Health Disorders, Health Workers, Road Construction Workers and Road Construction Project Affected Persons (PAPs). TAF meets the health needs of over 15 million people in Uganda.
In June 2023, the TAF Annual General Assembly (AGM) unanimously decided to re-brand and also unveiled a new 10-year Strategic Plan 2023-2033. I
