About Us
The African Network for the Care of Children Affected by HIV/AIDS (ANECCA) is a network of clinicians and social scientists across Africa working to improve the health and HIV services for women, children, adolescents, young adults and their families in Africa by strengthening the RMNCAHN platform. ANECCA provides technical assistance to Ministries of Health, designs and implements health projects, produces resource materials for health care providers, families and catalyzes innovations to respond to health needs of children, adolescents and their families.

ANECCA is a not-for-profit non-governmental organization registered as a local Organization in Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Niger and Nigeria. It has its headquarters in Kampala, Uganda, a sub-regional secretariat in Dakar, Senegal to coordinate projects in French-speaking West and Central African countries and has focal persons in 22 countries.
Its success has generated demand for ANECCA’s services by various direct beneficiaries, partner and collaborating organizations; government and donor funded programs.

Our Expertise
Over the last 10 years, ANECCA has acquired expertise in providing Technical assistance to Ministries of Health and Implementing partners, production of health resource materials including books, pocket guides, apps for mobile devices, Health Research and publications that inform policies and programming, Training and mentorship to improve skills of health service providers and conducting routine program and financial monitoring and evaluation.

Our Focus
To strengthen health systems, to improve service delivery for quality RMNCAHN and HIV services, to catalyse innovations that contribute to improved paediatric and adolescents’ health and HIV services and strengthen the organizational capacity to support health systems for service delivery.
