The Church of Uganda is a Jesus-loving, Bible-believing, Spirit-filled Anglican Church engaged in the mission of Jesus Christ in today’s world. There are over 13 million members and the church is organized in 37 dioceses to serve each region of the country. The Church of Uganda is governed by the Provincial Assembly. Meeting every two years, it is comprised of the House of Bishops, the House of Clergy, and the House of Laity. In between meetings of the Provincial Assembly, the Provincial Assembly Standing Committee meets and carries out the ongoing work of governance for the Church of Uganda.
