JOB DETAILS:
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the vacant posts existing in the Uganda Institute of Information and Communications Technology (UICT), Kampala. UICT is a Public Tertiary Institution established by Statutory Instrument No. 79 of October, 2005, managed and operated by Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) according to the UCC Act, 2013. The Institute invites qualified candidates to apply for the following vacant positions at UICT.

Part-time Lecturers fifteen (15) in the following areas:
(i) Procurement and Logistics Management (1)
(ii) Library and Information Science (2)
(iii) Records and Archives and Management (2)
(iv) Law – Legal and policy aspects; of business, records, PPDA laws and regulations (2)
(v) Kiswahili (2)
(vi) Clearing and Forwarding (3)
(vii) Journalism and Mass media (3)

Main purpose of the job:
To design and deliver quality teaching, research and consultancy programs in line with the Departmental mandate.

  Person Specifications:
A honors Bachelor degree in the related area. Two years teaching in a recognized Institution of higher learning or 2 years of industrial experience. Professional certification and Master’s Degree will be of an added advantage.
