Procurement Supervisor -Procurement & Contracts (2 positions)
Location: Kampala, Albert Lake production installation base or other cities in Uganda if required.
Primary Function:
• Responsible for supervision of the Company's procurement operations to successfully achieve the department's objectives.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure that all aspects of procurement from inception to project closure are achieved
• Participate in supervision and mentoring of the team members.
• Participate in supervision and mentoring of the team members.
• Actively promote and champion the use of procurement best practices. Ensure compliance with the procurement requirement of the Company, JV Partners and GOU and other key stakeholders.
• Prepare reports and statistics for internal & external stakeholders.
• Participate in procurement function related meetings and workshops.
• Promote and train usage of company procurement tools such as SAP, CMS, and Vendor management systems and alfresco to easy the procurement process flow.
• Participate in audits and responding to audit queries.
• Ensure contractual disputes are resolved in collaboration with the legal advisory team.
• Maintain thorough records through the tendering process to ensure proper and efficient handover to Project/ Operations teams.
• Recommend and organize internal training on procurement process tools, and provide contract interpretation to end-users as necessary, advice and guide users on compliance requirements in the procurement process.
• Act as an Interface between Contractors/suppliers and relevant internal departments.
• Perform any other requirements assigned by Superiors

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree or above in Procurement & Supply Chain management, Petroleum engineering, drilling and completion or related
• Professional qualification in a national or international recognized procurement and supply qualification such a CIPS is required.
• At least 5 years related working experience in procurement preferably in Oil and Gas industry.

Knowledge:
• Extensive knowledge of international business, supply chain management and contracting management.
• Extensive knowledge of contracting laws and regulations.
• In-depth understanding of oil E&P operations.
