Responsibilities and Duties
Reporting to the Director, Act Church of Sweden Regional Hub, the Program Officer will be responsible for:
- Strategic planning and delivery of quality program results in accordance with program objectives.
- Assessment of partner organizations and proposals, funding, and management of partnerships with institutional donors.
- Budgeting, monitoring, reporting, and learning in line with Act Church of Sweden policies, guidelines, and strategic plans.
Specific Duties Include:
a) Manage and coordinate program implementation, follow-up, and development with team members and other functions.
b) Initiate, develop, and manage collaboration with partner organizations.
c) Ensure compliance with agreements, back donor requirements, and internal regulations.
d) Contribute to program financing in collaboration with other sections.
e) Conduct partner and project assessments with other teams.
f) Represent Act Church of Sweden/Council of Sweden internally and externally.
g) Administer partner and project collaboration following set routines and systems.
h) Adhere to the Code of Conduct, laws, agreements, and policies, ensuring compliance among staff.
i) Other duties as assigned by the immediate manager.
Minimum Requirements:
a) Degree in a relevant field.
b) 5+ years of work experience in a relevant field (required).
c) Experience in a non-profit civil society organization (required).
d) Experience with religious, faith-based actors, or ecumenical networks (advantage).
e) Ecumenical context experience, preferably with ACT Alliance (advantage).
f) Experience with back donor funding, proposal writing, and reporting (advantage).
