Job Summary:
The Security Officer – CCTV Monitoring is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of guests, staff, and property by actively monitoring the hotel’s CCTV surveillance system. This role requires vigilance, discretion, and quick decision-making to respond to suspicious activity, emergencies, and potential security threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor live and recorded CCTV footage to identify irregular activities or security breaches.
- Maintain constant surveillance over all hotel areas including public spaces, entrances, exits, back-of-house, and perimeter.
- Promptly report and document incidents or suspicious behavior to the Security Manager.
- Liaise with on-ground security personnel to coordinate a swift response to any observed incidents.
- Ensure all cameras are functioning and promptly report faults or technical issues.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of CCTV observations, incidents, and system checks.
- Follow privacy and confidentiality protocols, especially regarding guest and staff information.
- Collaborate with hotel departments during investigations and provide CCTV footage when required.
- Assist in emergency procedures, including evacuations, fire drills, and medical emergencies.
- Adhere to hotel safety standards, policies, and government regulations related to surveillance and privacy.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: High School Certificate or equivalent. Additional training in security or CCTV operation is an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in security, preferably in a hospitality or CCTV control room environment.
- Certifications: CCTV Operations training or certification is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using CCTV systems, computers, and basic reporting tools.
- Behavioral Traits:
- High integrity and ethical standards.
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and in emergency situations.
- Work Conditions: Must be willing to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
