We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and highly qualified Audit Assistant Executives for our Uganda office; capable of leading on-site audit and assurance teams while building good working relationships with colleagues and clients.
Vacancy Title: Audit Assistant Executives (3)
Overall role The successful candidates will work as part of the Assurance team, leading on-site audit teams, effectively providing hands-on compliances and advisory role that meets client expectations as well as support the Engagement Manager.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
• Plan and perform audit procedures in accordance with ISA and Companies Act 2012, for private and public company financial statements prepared in accordance with IFRS (or other applicable GAAP).
• Takes responsibility for assigned client management and liaison on smaller assignments.
• Takes an active part in the audit planning discussions to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy.
• Apply data analytics to deliver high quality audits, providing business insight and value to clients
• Communicates any issues relating to an audit with manager or partner including matters which arise during the audit which were not identified at the planning stage.
• Ensures the efficient use of appropriate software packages.
• Oversees all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion.
• Prepares or reviews work papers and drafts reports.
• Provide accounting insights to clients in a clear and concise manner, including insights into complex accounting issues such as revenue recognition, valuation of inventory. measurement and recognition of financial instruments and accounting for leases

The ideal candidate should have:
• 3-5 years experience in external audit.
• Full completion or Level 3 pursuant of CPA/ACCA professional qualification or equivalent.
• Degree in accounting, finance, Business Statistics, or related .
• Good technical knowledge of IFRS and ISA
• Good understanding of the audit process, statutory financial statements and required disclosure.
• Ability to lead teams in the field and carry out effective performance reviews.
• Good organisational, planning, administrative and time management skills.
• Excellent IT skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
