Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant who will play a crucial role in our financial operations. This position is based on-site in Nansana Wakiso and reports directly to the Company Manager. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to excellence, while being part of a small, dynamic team.

Position Details

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Location: Nansana Wakiso
• Reporting Structure: Reports to Company Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare detailed reports on audit findings.
2. Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Report to management about asset utilization and recommend operational changes.
4. Collect and analyze data to detect deficiencies and non-compliance.
5. Supervise auditing of establishments and determine the scope of investigations required.
6. Examine and evaluate financial and information systems, recommending controls to ensure system reliability.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Education: Post-secondary Diploma in Accounting or related fields.
• Experience: 1-2 years in a similar role.
• Skills: Active Listening, Critical Thinking, Speaking, Complex Problem Solving, Time Management.
• Knowledge Areas: Economics and Accounting, Mathematics, Administration and Management, Customer and Personal Service.
• Technical Knowledge: Proficient in tax preparation software, financial analysis software, accounting software, spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel), and presentation software (Microsoft Presentation).

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed reports on audit findings.
• Report to management about asset utilization and recommend operational changes. - Collect and analyze data to detect deficiencies and non-compliance.
• Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency.
