Job Summary:
• The accountant will play a key role in managing the financial operations of the company. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence in financial management.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Monitor budgets and ensure the company operates within financial constraints.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulatory requirements, including timely filing of returns.
• Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Implement and maintain financial controls to safeguard company assets.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks, and other financial stakeholders.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of tax laws and financial regulations in Uganda.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
