JOB DETAILS:
Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client Inspire Africa Coffee, we are looking for competent, skilled, and experienced Agronomy Manager to work in Uganda.

JOB SUMMARY
The Agronomy Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective management of agricultural production processes. This includes planning, budgeting, scheduling, and overseeing the planting, growing, harvesting, and storage of produce, as well as providing guidance to farmers on planting and caretaking practices for coffee. The Agronomy Manager must possess knowledge in soil and plant management, plant nutrition, and pest control, and must be familiar with the regulations and policies governing agricultural operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
• Oversee agronomy operations within designated areas and provide advice to farmers.
• Develop and implement agronomy plans and budgets.
• Analyze soil samples and recommend appropriate pesticides and fertilizers.
• Monitor crop growth and evaluate yield and quality.
• Advise on the development and implementation of pest management programs.
• Conduct research to develop new methods for agronomy and crop production.
• Maintain records for farmers and monitor their compliance with government regulations.
• Undertake any additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field from a recognized university.
• Proficiency in computer programs and software related to agronomy.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in crop production, soil science, and plant pathology.

Work Hours: 8


Experience in Months: 60

Level of Education:
Bachelor Degree
